Happy Birthday Card with Cricut!

I am really loving my cricut! Since I bought Sure Cuts Alot at www.craftedge.com I have been one happy gal!

I used the Susans BlueRobot's file from her blog to create the card itself, It is an SVG file. Just save it and cut it with SCAL, its just that easy. I also used the SCAL to cut out my die cut. It looks just like Stampin' Up but I didnt spend 22 dollars for it.

I love creating unique cards and I think is as unique as I have been lately. Its done with a simple cinderella stamp and some pencils.

I made it for my neighbors daughter who turns 3 tomorrow.

Here is my handmade envelope...

Happy thanksgiving everyone. Dont eat too much turkey! :)

Scrapbooking For My Kids!

Details: For those of you that know me, you know we adopted our kids over 2 and a half years ago! And I yet have started to scrap the journey.

So I have made two pages tonight using my new Inque Boutqiue Stamps and some basic layering. No fancy bells or whistles here I wanted the pictures to stand out. They are a shocker, Yes this is the actual orphanage. :(

I dont know how to take a good photo of a 12 x 12 yet. I will try again, These pictures came out decent.

I will be making tons more layouts soon

Have I been living under a rock?

I think I have been living under a rock! I finally started scrapbooking again after a year off, since we moved to a new state. I ordered all my 400 pictures, YES 400!! And I sat down to scrap and I am so overwhelmed!

So tonight I went to the Hobby Lobby to get inspired. I went to the sticker area, I got even more overwhelmed!!

So I walked around and I saw Kits --- Scrapbooking Kits!! OMG what a fantastic idea! I bought them all!! lol I scored a baseball kit at the Hobby Lobby! I wish they had more than one

If anyone know who else sells kits, please share with me, I have two toddlers a boy and a girl so I need all types of Kits. So this is how I plan on doing al my scrapbooking from now on. KITS!

It will make my life much easier. and I can do more cards! :)

Hugs.

Sitting with Bear Sugar Nellie Card

Ok I tried another sugar nellie tonight with my new Leaf Branch Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. I am trying to be different. LOL So this time I used a peachy colored base, with matching prima flowers.

Isnt she a pretty girl, the stamp? I decided she had to be a blonde, bright blonde, since I am a brunette she had to be opposite me. I again used my Koh I noor pencils and just kept it simple. No sentiment or ribbon this time. I did use my black stickles on the center of the brad on the flower. It gives it a little bling so the card isnt too plain. Not all cards need a sentiment on the front, right?

Cardstock: Mix of Bazzill and Stampin up
Stamps: Sugar Nellie - Sitting with Bear
Ink: Palette
Accessories: Koor I Noor, Cuttlebug, Cuttlebug embossing folders, Prima flowers, Black and Cotton Candy Stickles, Pebbles Chalk and Q tips.

First I stamped my imaged, colored her in with my pencils, then use a nesties die to cut her out in a nice shape.

Next I made my cuttlebug sandwhich (YUMMY) She is sitting inside the embossing folder, Make sure you put the image up so the embossed part is raised and not sunken.

Roll!

There she is after being smooshed! :) She looks great!

Gather your supplies. Add chalk, I use a Q tip and have a eraser near by for mistakes. You can use a chalk spray after wards to keep the chalk in its place.

Finished Card - I added Cotton Candy Stickles on the outside of the nesties circle for a little pizazz.

Pen Pal Sugar Nellie

Details: This is the first time I tried this technique. I dont know what it is called but I saw it out there on somes blog.

I stamped Pen Pal onto white cardstock colored her in with my yummy KOR I NOOR pencils and then i ran her through the cuttlebug with on of my embossing folders. I used some chalk to outline the swirls in the embossing. I hope it looks ok? I am not sure if I absolutely love it or not.

Cardstock: PTI and Bazzil
Stamps: Pen Pal by Sugar Nellie
Ink: Palette Inks
Accessories: Prima Flowers, PTI Ribbon, Kor I Noor Pencils, Cuttlebug, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Nesties, Martha Stewart Punch.
